Can Fedora detect then automount /dev/mapper/foobar?

Can someone nudge me in the right direction here? I want hald (I think) to
recognize a new block device at
/dev/mapper/luks_crypto_71c8e931-fedc-4162-8b44-643fee5cc79e
and then mount the filesystem for me automatically.

When I insert my USB thumbdrive, hald detects a VFAT filesystem at /dev/sda1
and mounts it for me. No problem there.

/dev/sda2 is a LUKS partition. I'm prompted for my passphrase and I get a
new block device under
/dev/mapper/luks_crypto_71c8e931-fedc-4162-8b44-643fee5cc79e but I have to
mount the filesystem by hand. I'd like that one to mount automatically like
the first partition.

Any ideas?

Thanks
