I have done some other processes because of the fact the mail() was not
working properly.
[root at someserver php]# ls -all
total 1864
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Sep 30 16:53 .
drwxr-x--- 14 root root 4096 Sep 30 16:58 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1359821 Jul 1 2003
php-4.2.2-17.2.i386.rpm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 421018 Jul 1 2003
php-imap-4.2.2-17.2.i386.rpm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 38300 Jul 1 2003
php-ldap-4.2.2-17.2.i386.rpm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 37701 Jul 1 2003
php-mysql-4.2.2-17.2.i386.rpm
[root at someserver php]# rpm -Uvh --oldpackage php-*
After I have done this, the php is working properly again. I have located
the sendmail in /usr/sbin/sendmail and looks like this with ls.
/usr/sbin/sendmail -> /var/courier/bin/sendmail
As you can see it's linked to courier. With the package above it's working
fine.
Am I still doing something wrong or is package not right?

Does the build machine have /sbin/sendmail?
If not, it needs to be symlinked to the mta or php will leave mail() support
out completely.

To mess up a Linux box, you need to work at it; to mess up your Windows box,
you just need to work on it.
