At the risk of being too caustic for this list:

Would you be willing to tell us who your employer was so we can make
sure to never do business with them? It seems like their attitude toward
systems maintenance and employee interaction are a bit cavalier and they
deserve whatever they get stuck with.

I'm sorry you were laid off. Good luck in your job search.
