ADSL connection

Have you tried doin' it from the command line? Also check your log "/var/log/messages" I think holds pppd errors and stuff. I could be wrong about that I haven't checked in a while.

"adsl-setup" will setup adsl for you (you have to answer some simple questions.
"adsl-start" will start it up. It'll tick off until it connect.
"adsl-stop" does the obvious.

You'll get an error string from adsl-start if it doesn't connect within the timeout range. I think it's 60 seconds but I could be mistaken about that.

We don't have a great war in our generation, or a great depression, but we
do, we have a great war of the spirit. We have a great revolution against
the culture. The great depression is our lives. We have a spiritual
depression. --Fight Club
