The Kernel-HOWTO is not being reviewed because of the 2.6 kernel, although
hopefully something about 2.6 will be included. This HOWTO was removed and
is being rewritten as fast as possible because too many complaints were
received by the LDP that the document contained inaccurate information and
wrong instructions.

A majority of the LDP volunteers decided that it was better to live without
this document for a couple of weeks while a new one was put into place than
to leave one with too many known errors. For some other sources of
information, here are some things you could check out:

http://newbiedoc.sourceforge.net/system/kernel-pkg.html

http://www.kernel.org

Hopefully, the new version will be out soon.
