It was a mistake.

between the several mailing lists that I try to monitor,i get way too
many messages to easily manage. So I tried subscribing in digest mode
for a while. Once I noticed that I only remembered to edit the subject
line about 75% of the line, I went back to normal mode. (some 24 hours
before your getting post, in fact)

Sorry for any inconvenience.

(I'm still looking for a mail client that can reply to one message in a
digest for me, but there are several other constraints, and I really can
only try about one new client every few days)
