First, the release cycle for Red Hat Linux hasn't really changed that much.
We've been doing a new release every six months for quite a few years. As
for the errata policy for Red Hat Linux, it's detailed here:
http://rhl.redhat.com/about/faq/
Short answer is that we will continue to provide security errata for 12
months at the least.
