problems with yum ok it's rpm not yun

ok needed to run rpm --rebuilddb  4 times to clean the package db then I

to reinstall the cd's to repair the db, now running yum update to fix 
the remaining
holes/discrepancies, I guess no one else has had this prob, well maybe 
these emails
will help someone else, mean time if anyone knows of an archive for this 
list, I'd be
obliged.
