gnucash is pretty basic. You might give moneydance a try:

I've been using it for about 5 years, and I like it a lot. The author is 
really quick to answer any questions you might have, which is another 
plus. There is a free trial version that lets you enter 100 
transactions. And, it works with Fedora.....
