Suspend

I just right clicked on the gnome panel at the bottom of the screen,
selected add to panel and it was in there somewhere.

Where is the battery monitor app (for gnome?)?

This is an ACPI only notebook (apparently no APM on it) and I also tried
the 'echo "3" > /proc/acpi/sleep' command.  Nothing happened.
