2.6.7 renames SATA disks: swap won't mount

I have an ASUS SK8V motherboard (for athlon 64).   As I read the documentation, 
I am not sure whether I am using the SATA controller on the SouthBridge or the 
Promise PDC20378 RAID Controller.
