IPTraf crashes with following messages in the /var/log/messages in kernel 2.6.7-1.494.2.2

No.  Running the same kernel on a Dell Latitude and have iptraf running
since last week.  

What kind of NIC do you have in the system?  Could it be a problem
setting the NIC to promiscuous mode?

Does ethereal do the same thing?
