Failed dependencies error upon downloading yum

Ah this is frustrating,
Everything was downloaded, even (apparently) the rpm-4.1.1-1.8x.i386.rpm
mod, but the failed dependencies error says I don't have the rpm-4.1.1, even
though it downloaded.
I'm still getting failed dependency...

Any other suggestions anyone or Michael?

The former yes, the latter no. rpm >= 4.1.1 is what you tried to installed
following the Fedora Legacy documentation.

You can also install everything at once, i.e. add the "yum" and
"libxml2-python" packages to your original command-line. Sometimes you
must install multiple packages at once to resolve circular
dependencies. But in your case, you just need to start with upgrading RPM
and friends:
rpm -Uvh

x.i386.rpm \
