kernel problems

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I upgraded to kernel-2.6.8-1.521 (from an FC2 RPM) and after
a few hours went back to 2.6.7-1.494.2.2. Cdrecord didn't recognize my
player anymore, not even when sudo-ed and a small program tuxcmd
always crashed. I can't find much in the archives, only that it's a
2.6.8 feauture (not an issue). Does anybody else have these bad
experiences with 2.6.8? Will this be resolved in future kernels?
