Has anybody been able to get AC3 output via SPDIF working lately,
especially with FC3? It seems ALSA AC3 support is broken since 0.9 :(

I am trying to get this working with mplayer on my Audigy2 platinum
since FC1 but the only thing I can get is a terrible noise from my
amplifier...

I am open for suggestions for working configurations and soundcards...
