grub stage1 location--was booting with wrong grub.conf

On my system when I use the grub find command, it says it finds the
file stage1  located on (hd0,1) at /boot/grub. I want it to use stage1
on (hd0,2) so that the correct menu.lst will be invoked. How do I do
this?
