Re: [FC3] New kernels and Loki games

Anyone have a clue?

No clue. This all started with kernel 2.6.8 in FC2. It's supposedly happened because exec-shield changes, but disabling exec-shield doesn't help. You may try windows version with winex/cedega - it can be made to work.

They offer a dynamic version of the same thing, it runs like:

[brian aquila ~]$ /shares/CivCTP/civctp.dynamic
/shares/CivCTP/civctp.dynamic: error while loading shared libraries: libSDL_mixer-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

It can't find the library. Fedora ships with newer version of the library. You may try to find version from FC2 of FC1 and install alongside with FC3 version.

Any chance of coaxing this to work, or is this an end-of-life issue?

I'm going to try to compile kernel without exec-shield and see if it helps.

Thanks
