howto check if a gpg-key is installed

note:  when upgrading from shrike to fedora with apt-get, the rpms would
not install.  i imported the keys from fedora.us and other suggested keys
but still wouldn't work.

after importing the key from fedora.redhat.com it worked.  what i assume
to be the same key at fedora.us would not work.  i thought these fedora
repositories were mirrors, maybe so, but the key at fedora.us does not
work.
