Phantom Floppy drive?

Did that - BIOS is set to show the absence of a floppy drive. Despite 
this, I get these error messages.

I remember vaguely that the modules system has an option to "blacklist" a 
module to stop it from even trying to load, but if I recall correctly that 
is only for usb hotplug stuff. I have used that functionality to stop the 
dc2xx camera driver from loading, but it doesnt seem to work for floppy.
