If you want to use a gui:

(as root) type:

setup

and select Firewall Configuration

You can also run:

redhat-config-network    to configure your network.

I just got burned by trying to use a 3com 3c905 NIC. If you are using
one of these, you need to take some extra steps. If you are using that
card. let me know.
