iptables question

Jos,

Thanks for your suggestions. But I think you went a bit too far for the  
newbie I was trying to help get started on iptables. We could go on for  
hours about how to set up a firewall - like it being not on a box with rc5.d 
  enabled. Perhaps even killing services like *printing*... but be that is  
what the guy is working with, I pointed him to netfilters docs page to take  
he look for himself.

It is these types of almighty procalmations that make it hard for newbies,  
as we *all* were at one time.
