There are issues with 0.75, which is why they have that fact outlined in
the topic of the GAIM IRC Chatroom. The link for that channel is on the
GAIM website. This is the topic:

There were quite a few people complaining about GAIM 0.75 not
functioning with Yahoo. The explanation given was that yahoo changed
their protocol.
