I'm going to assume that you have USB mouse, because either you wouldn't
enjoy Fedora at all, or you would be using command line and not need
it.  In that case, set your touchpad as the main pointing device, and
then edit you /etc/X11/XF86Config file to include this line in the
Server Layout section:
InputDevice    "DevInputMice" "AlwaysCore"

If your wifi card is not linux supported, do a google search on
ndiswrapper.  I'm also on that mailing list, so if you have problems
with that I will help you out on that list.

Good luck.  My plan, which I will get around to when homework eases up,
is to move to the 2.6 kernel and add acpi support.

That's odd.  The brightness keys on my Dell worked by default.  My guess
is its a bios problem.
