What I'd like to see is the redhat server reply with a mirror to use.
Then all the fedora installs would contact the redhat server very
briefly... redhat can count installations or whatever, and the install
base gets updated by the whole collection of (synch'd) mirrors.

So, the DEFAULT config for up2date etc would be to first go to a site that
tells it what mirror to try... after that the process remains the same.

If the use want's to configure a specific mirror, they're free to do so.
