Yet another sound problem in FC2 (Artsd and Esd)

I assume you do not use KDE and, if so, have you tried to go into KDE
and disable the sound system there.  I have not checked all the KDE
applications I use in my Gnome setup.  Also, I had the same problem with
a few games and just setup a script file to kill artsd and then launch
the program.
