I did the install on another system; this is a little single board
computer in a 4.5"x6.5" box.  I loaded the errata kernel and now it
boots and runs fine.  Thanks!

Now I'm off to try to get X working on the Cyrix 5530 video (so far I
don't any video signal out when X starts).
