Old Crystal Sound with FC2?

I'm pretty sure that the modules I need are lying around in 
/lib/modules/...  I just can't get them to load, even when I specify 
what I am pretty sure are the correct parameters.  Honestly I'd like the 
configuration tool to Just Work.
