Excellent board. Note that this uses an Nvidia nForce2 chipset, and Nvidia
does not offer open-source drivers for their video cards. While their
closed, binary-only drivers work well with FC1, they have not yet released
a driver for FC2. This kind of nuisance is what you would have to deal with
in eventually dealing with their stuff.
Given that this is an excellent board, and that you are trying to solve a
long-running problem with the supplier, I would take it rather than risk
the loss of my money. Then try to sell it and get a motherboard with no
built-in video. Radeon 75xx and 72xx cards do have an open-source driver
which works pretty well, and it's great to support the people who in turn
support open source. That's how we got Fedora in the first place!
If you absolutely can't sell it, then put up with the nuisances and keep
it. :-)
