  Subject: AMD64 Kernel 2.6.6-1.435 hangs kudzu (/sbin/modprobe -q -r ohcil1394)

After AMD64 FC2 kernel 2.6.5, FC2 kernel 2.6.6-1.435 boot hangs because of firmwire controllers (ohcil1394). setting /etc/sysconfig/kudzu SAFE=yes does not help.. as a workaround booted in the interactive mode set kudzu to 'N' then continued with the boot. If you run process kudzu it will hang. A 'ps -ax' shows the process '/sbin/modprobe -q -r ohcil1394' running. You can not kill the process.

renamed two modules ieee1394.ko and ohcil1394.ko and rebooted. I have no devices attached to the 1394 controllers.

'lspci' shows two firewire cards. eMachines T6000 AMD64
  TSB12LV26 (VID 1106) (DID 3044) sub device 0805
VIA (VID 104c) (DID 8020) sub device 7410 part of motherboard.
