problems modprobing a custom module ---- 1/2 solved

after RTFM :-) i found out, that it should be done with modprobe -f
lirc_serial
but...........
I've did a make clean
changed the magicversionnumber
did a modules build
and still the old magversionnumber.........what did i mis?
