Boot Issues with FC2

I'm no Fedora guru, but I was just thinking what I would do
if I were in your shoes.
I think I would start by getting a Knoppix CD
(well, I actually have one so I wouldn't have to go far)
and use it to look at the partition table with "fdisk /dev/hda".
I'd actually create the partitions I wanted with fdisk
if there is any sort of doubt about your partitions.

Incidentally, if Knoppix ran on your machines,
I would take that as pretty strong evidence that Fedora will run,
sooner or later.

The only other suggestion I would have is to install in text mode,
though it doesn't sound as if your problem has anything to do with X.

Well, one other possibility if you have a floppy drive
would be to create a syslinux boot floppy,
following the advice in /usr/share/doc/syslinux*/syslinux.doc .
(You could do this under Knoppix.)
