Only other thing I can think of is that your /boot partition is 50GB
(and 6500+ cylinders) from the start of the disk and maybe the first
stage bootloader can't reach it? If that's the problem (and it may not
be - maybe a grub expert could comment?) you'll have a hard time fixing
it without reinstalling both Linux and Windows.
