FC2: Cannot empty Trash, permission issue

Only 'root' can upgrade the system cleanly. In order to clean up you
have to become 'root'. The usual way is to open a terminal and type:
su -
this will ask for the root password and log you in to a full root
shell. Afterwards be careful what you erase! :-)
