How do i add my own keyboard shortcut

Hi,
      I am using FC2 & GNOME. I see there is a predefined list of
desktop shortcut in redhat->Preference->Keyboard Shortcut. Now, How do
i add my own keyboard shortcut. Actually i wanted to add a shortcut to
open a terminal in the graphical env.
