I guess your post will make no sens att all for new users, so here is
try to clarify what i believe you ment.
For those who dont know, 'man' is a command you could run from a
terminal. (like the Gnome terminal you can find in the system tools menu
if you are using Gnome, which is the default.)  
The command 'man' displays manuals for programs that supply a manual.
An example would be 'man ls' which diplays the manual for the command
ls. To get more information about man simply run 'man man'. 


But!
Running the 'help' program from the Gnome menu is by fare better since
it contains both the manuals that 'man' uses and other documentation
that can help.
