how to deactivate pine's "format=flowed"??

   i'm sure there's an obvious option i've overlooked, but in sending 
mail from pine, is there a way to deactivate the "format=flowed" 
option that permits reformatting of the message?  not surprisingly, 
this makes a mess of patches i'm trying to email.

   as a fallback, i can always email by just driving the patch through 
"sendmail -oi -t", but it would be nice to be able to stick with 
pine.

   thoughts?
