Squid not authenticating

Please always provide useful information. Nobody can know which specific
lines you did uncomment. So better be specific with such information.
Could be you updated to development or updates-testing or something
else.

How do you authenticate? Both with Samba and Squid.

samba-3.0.7-2.FC2 certainly.

Check /var/log/yum.log to see which packages were updated recently.
