You might also want to try picking up O'Reilly's, uh, Bat Book is it? 
The book on DNS and BIND9.  Not only is it good reading if you're 
interested in learning abotu BIND9, but the other things I learned from 
that book - how DNS REALLY works - was well worth the read, as well.
