Updating via the web

Hmm, tall order. Two options.

1) Yum update
2) Download ISOs and do an HDD installation

Both methods are going to take long (1) has the advantage of only 
downloading what you need, while (2) has the advantage of being 
cleaner/safer and allowing you more options. However, (1) could bring 
about some difficult to predict quirks as big changes come about in the 
system as FC2 to FC3 does contain some big changes. Also I not even sure 
if you can use (1) to get to FC3, I do know it should bring you to the 
latest version (FC4 + updates). (2) allows  you to choose exactly what 
version you're updating too.

If going with (2) I suggest a good download or ftp client which will 
beable to resume downloads, etc. Using a bittorrent client should be 
even better, but I am unsure of how well it works with connections as 
unstable as a modem.
