The mail system gets the domain name from the /etc/hosts file. If you
change the domain name in there to the one that you own, it should work

Subject: Change root sender adress
The account normally sends mail from root at hostname.domainname.com. The
cronjob sends from root too. This doesn't work because I don't have
hostname.domainname.com. It's a common problem that I have with more
systems. What should I do? Can I change the sender address??
