The OpenSSL project has had its new release of OpenSSL
out since July 5th 2005.

This release incorporates support for VIA's padlock
hardware encryption support, which is why I'm
interested in it.

Will Fedora see a new RPM for this releases in the
near future? When? What's holding the rpm back?

The following version is availible from openssl.org:
OpenSSL 0.9.8

My FC4 installation has the following:
OpenSSL 0.9.7f

Thanks,
-S
