I use a program called Navicat (http://navicat.com), but it is neither
free ($$$) nor free (source). Their Linux version lags behind the
development of their Win32 or Mac versions, but it's still pretty
useful. Also, the font rendering is a throwback to the early 1990s. 

Regardless of the price or ugly fonts, it has boosted my productivity
quite a bit. I'm no stranger to the command line, but sometimes I find
it's easier to visualize larger projects using GUI tools.
