Suse works, Fedora doesn't! [Was: ASUS motherboard]

Hi,

I'm using the ASUS P5WD-Premium with Fedora 4.  I runs great once you
get it installed, but it takes some monkeying around.  I found that I
could not use the primary IDE controller and use the secondary for
anything else.  The primary controller is on the board by itself with
only one connector.  The secondary (with 2 connectors) has my HD on the
first connector, and a CD and RW-DVD on the other.

Also, added noapic to the linux boot line because clock in linux runs
amuck.  

I don't remember anything else being critical.
