FC3 INIT: Id "[1-6]x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

Have managed to solve my problem by replacing the 2.6.9-1.667 kernel and
initrd with the new 2.6.10-1.741_FC3 ones.

 

Took all the 741 files from the /boot and tarred of the new /lib/modules
from a working machine.

 

Will try a virgin install and try to run up2date using the rescuecd,
hopefully this will install the new kernel.
