Simple passwords are generally bad. However, if you understand the
implications the passwd command will *allow* it, the 'Based on a
dictionary word' is merely an advisory response.
Continue to enter the password and it will take and set it to that value.
Or it used to, haven't tried iin a whlie.
Putting aside the wisdom of teaching your child about good passwords (must
be 'this tall' to use system ;) If you're going to continue with the
simple passwd choice, then you need to be sure that your machine isn't
accessible from the internet using that username and password combination.
Theres probably several different ways to do this, but off the top of my
head I don't recall wi th Fedora. Perhaps others can help on that piece.
