Sorry I can't help you, but I have seen your other posts, and yes it
seems you are doomed.  But think of it as a learning experience?

You are not alone, tonight I just reinstalled the modem software for my
parents win98 machine because it simply "forgot" what modem was in the
machine.  "I don't know why but I can't reach your email server"
Looking for a modem would have been a good place to start, but I don't
work at Microsoft. :-)
