XMMS setup_ctrlsocket() error - Now can't login to X

Well, I rebooted my machine (thinking that would fix it) and now it
boots ok, and I get the graphical login, but after "authenticated" I
get nothing...just a black X windows screen.

I have no idea where to go from here.

Can anyone help?
