upgrade from 8.0; linuxconf

Actually I think Linuxconf was dropped by RH well bebore release 8.  If you do manage to get it uninstalled, though, you can download a version for Fedora from Linuxconf.org.  I've installed my Fedora distros cleanly, so I haven't had your problems.
