You might like using MimeDefang (http://www.mimedefang.org/) to
integrate those programs and give you a single point of control.  It
runs as a sendmail milter, unpacks all attachments, then runs your
choice of scanners over them.  Since it is a milter you can still reject
at the smtp level after scanning the data.
