OK perhaps it wasn't gmail - I don't use it. Perhaps it was hotmail or
yahoo mail or one of the others that I don't use. It has been discussed
many times on this list.

I agree with you it isn't hard to find the unsubscribe instructions
which at the very least, are in the body of the 'replies' to every
message where the person that replies doesn't trim (often) and the
notion that if you were smart enough to figure out how to subscribe, you
should be smart enough to unsub, etc. But some people never fail to miss
an opportunity to club someone.
